“This weekend

has been one of the best weekends I’ve had in a while,helping all those kids and seeing them transform and get closer to God makes all the hard work worth it. I really had a lot of fun and it was nice to get away from all my problems and just focus on making the retreat an awesome experience for the first year kids. I hope they had fun cause I know I did,I feel so grateful and blessed to be apart of this amazing religious experience. :) I’m really looking forward to doing some more volunteer work.”

It’s been

exactly one year since I posted that little rant and I can honestly say that this time around volunteering has had an even bigger impact on me (didn’t even know it was possible) being a group leader has opened my eyes to so many different personalities and opinions. For example, there was another group leader whose name is Lilly and oh gosh, she is the most blissful, loving, and positive, girl I’ve ever met. And she’s not the annoying fake happy either, she became one of my role models this weekend, she is such a great example of how I SHOULD be living my life. Just goes to show you how awesome it is to have God present in your life. I can’t imagine how great it’s going to be when I help out next year again and if for some reason I’m not able to, I already feel blessed and grateful for these experiences.

Because of the weight of the ends of the forks, and how they’re distributed behind the penny (closer to the glass), the center of gravity of the whole system is actually shifted quite significantly. If I’m right, it would actually have to be right where the penny meets the glass. This mean, in a sense, all the “weight” of the system of the forks and penny is resting right on that point, rather than out in the air, so if you balance it, it’ll be stable on the glass.

Bingo. The mass is placed perfectly displaced so that the center of gravity allows it to balance on the penny.
